Amazon has confirmed that their little media player powerhouse will launch in the UK on October 23.
“Starting tonight in Germany and the UK, Fire TV is available for sale,” Peter Larson, Amazon’s Vice President of Product Marketing stated in their announcement.
Their streaming service has been very well received in the UK, with many signing up and enjoying the service. Peter Larson added, “Following this interest we accelerated our road map and doubled down to get Fire TV on sale outside the US.”
Just like in the US, the box will come with a complementary 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime Instant, which is an effort to get you to continue with the monthly plan.
The FireTV, which costs $99 (£59) in the US will cost UK owners £79. If you’re already an Amazon Prime customer though, you can grab the device for a limited time for just £49.
