The high end media player company Zappiti has announced a new model to their Zappiti Player line, the 4K Mini.
Zappiti extends the UHD 4K player family
PARIS, FRANCE – April 14, 2015 – Zappiti, the European leader of Media Center solutions, extends the 4K family with the Zappiti Player 4K Mini which represents the next step in the continuing evolution of the Zappiti Player 4K family. Based on new technologies, the Zappiti Player 4K Mini offers significant improvements in image quality compared to the previous model (Zappiti Player Mini). The secret sauce to get it done comes from reworking the signal coming from 4:2:0 signal, and then washing it through the next generation of video processor, generating a true 4:4:4 signal with deeper blacks, richer colors, sharper details and a larger dynamic range. In addition, the new media player support most all digital audio and video formats, codecs and file containers, including all modern video standards such as HEVC, H.265, with Ultra HD 4K upscaling (up to 3840×2160 / 4096×2160) which results in a crisp and crystal-clear picture with four times the resolution of Full HD. The Zappiti Player 4K Mini is compatible with audiophile uncompressed HD audio with high resolutions, up to 24-bit / 192 kHz. The new Zappiti Player 4K Mini is equipped with an SATA HDD connector to connect a external HDD. Besides, it is equipped with a USB 3.0 port and an SD memory card slot. The Zappiti Player 4K Mini features powerful Wi-Fi with 2 antennas and ethernet gigabit network capability. This new player is also compatible with the new Zappiti Media Center v4 application, XBMC and many other Android apps through the GooglePlay integrated app.
