HOW TO: Tutorial to Install Youtube Library Add-on Plugin for Kodi

Follow along to see a guide on how to install the Youtube Library Add-on for Kodi.

Youtube Library is a Kodi Add-on that will allow you to add Youtube Channels / Playlists to your Kodi Library as if it were local files.

  1. Download the Youtube Library add-on install file
  2. Open Kodi
  3. Select System -> Settings
    kodi-system-settings
  4. Select Add-ons
    kodi-system-addons
  5. Select Install from zip file
    kodi-install-from-zip
  6. Select plugin.video.youtubelibrary-vX.X.X.zip

  7. Wait for it to be enabled

  8. Go back home and then go to Videos > Files

  9. Choose Add Videos

  10. Choose userdata > addon_data > plugin.video.youtubelibrary > Streams > TV then press OK

  11. Change the name to YoutubeLibrary TV

  12. Set the type to TV Shows, Local information only, and press ok

  13. Go back and select Add new channel as tv show

  14. Search for the name of a channel you want to watch and press done

  15. Select the channel
    2015-11-03_21-56-55
  16. Choose Uploads

  17. Click on Playlist is disabled and choose Yes to enable the playlist

  18. Click back, and then go to Manage Playlists, highlight your playlist and press the context menu button, choose Update Now

  19. Wait for the update to finish

  20. Go to your home screen, choose TV Shows and then you can select the channel you added

  21. Browse for a TV show and watch the Youtube Video!

    I did not find the plugin in the C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data
    ?
    Failed to install.
