It’s been a while since I’ve posted a HTPC build for under $250, and the scene has changed quite a bit. Below is new build that will keep with the budget HTPC theme, but be quite new compared to our previous builds.
Now like I always like to point out, this build is just a suggestion. It will work 100% as-is but please take the time to do some additional research and choose what is best for you an your situation. The builds I put together are always high quality and will do basically everything you throw at it.
Alright lets get on to it. Below are the parts for this awesome build.
|Case||IN-WIN 200W Mini-ITX Slim Desktop Case Black BP655.FH200B||$55.99|
|Motherboard||ECS Elitegroup Mini ITX DDR3 1600 LGA 1150 Motherboard (H81H3-I)||$54.99|
|CPU||Intel Pentium Processor G3250||$56.99|
|RAM||Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory||$23.99|
|Power Supply||Included with case||N/A|
|Hard Drive||A-Data Premier Pro SP600 64GB 2.5" Solid State Disk||$41.29|
This build will allow you to run Windows 10, or OpenELEC if you choose. It is also a good candidate for something like a linux operating system running Kodibuntu.
Please let me know in the comments what you think about the build, and if you would make any changes.
